About

Surface knowledge before surface cleaning

Surface Reveal is a specialist surface restoration contractor using precision pulsed laser cleaning. The work begins with assessment, because the correct method depends on the material in front of you.

How we work

We are a surface restoration contractor rather than a cleaning company. Projects are approached as controlled removal: identify the substrate, identify what sits on it, establish the response through testing, then work to recorded parameters.

That approach suits industrial maintenance, engineering and fabrication work, and it is essential where historic material is involved and restraint matters more than speed.

Based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Coverage across Scotland, with UK specialist projects considered on a project-by-project basis.

We do not publish client lists, testimonials or statistics that we cannot evidence. Where accreditations are held, they will be listed here with their reference details.

Principles

What guides a project

Understand the substrate

Identify the material and its condition before choosing a method.

Understand what is removed

Know the coating or contamination and how it is likely to respond.

Test before production

Establish the result on a representative area first.

Least intervention required

Remove what needs to be removed, and no more.

Control the work area

Define, manage and supervise the area the work takes place in.

Record what works

Document the parameters and results that produced the outcome.

Inspect the result

Check the finished surface against the agreed objective.
